Get to Know Us

The Equitable Evaluation in Philanthropy Project (EEPP) is a newly launched effort that seeks to create broad impact of equitable practices within philanthropy across New Mexico. EEPP is a unique organization that is led by a small group of individuals who are committed to seeing New Mexico thrive. We don't have traditional full-time staff, and instead, we operate as a collaborative, cross-sector project.

Our focus is on examining how we can improve and expand practices within New Mexico's philanthropic sector that promote equity. By growing equitable evaluation practices, we can better ensure organizations and communities work in mutual partnership with grantmakers leading to greater impact and more equitable outcomes.

EEPP was originally born out of lessons from our work with local non-profits and one New Mexico-based foundation. We have since expanded our efforts to help create a more equitable philanthropic landscape across New Mexico.

The hope is that this vision has broad reach and serves as a model for philanthropic organizations and communities that are the focus of philanthropic giving. Our goal of creating and sharing equity-focused evaluation and learning practices and principles will serve other organizations seeking to make such structural changes.
